My Three Week Plan to get Back on Track!
Does this look like you?? Can you relate?? I certainly can! My summer has been full of traveling, concerts, and fun which does not always turn out to be the best for my waist line! We have all been there.... lots of fun, indulging while on vacation, splurging on extra cocktails and eating foods we normally would pass on! Well it is time to FOCUS and reign it all back in! Here are the three major keys to my 3 week plan and you can certainly put this same plan into action for yourself!
1. Exercise! I can't wait to start this new 3 week program that builds in intensity with each passing week. I like to stream my work outs... this works well for me with my busy schedule because I can exercise anywhere that has internet (ie- home, at the soccer field, outside, etc). I can squeeze 30 mins into my day and get it done! Plus, streaming allows me to change it up often so that I do not get tired of doing the same old thing every day! So, the new program that I can't wait to try is called The Shift Shop created by super trainer Chris Downing. Using a breakthrough “ramp-up” method, Chris starts you out slow in Week 1 with 25-minute cardio and strength workouts you can really do from home, and a nutrition plan you can stick with. In Week 2, you push harder with 35-minute workouts, and consume more protein to fuel the burn. Finally, in Week 3, you kick your shift into high gear: 45-minute workouts and clean eating. 2. Nutrition! 80% of any weight loss results always occur in the kitchen, so your nutrition really needs to be dialed in to get results! I really like this 3 week plan because the nutrition gets ramped up with each passing week. In week 1, you’ll be eating a healthy balance of carbs, protein, and fat. In week 2, you’ll cut back on the starchy carbs, while revving up the proteins and veggies. In week 3, you really cut the carbs and stick to a full week of super clean eating! One week is so much more doable than three, right?? Cutting carbs in the third week is sure to really amplify results! 3. Fat Burning Supplement! Please understand that I do not believe that there is any magic pill that leads to weight loss... I believe that you have to put the work in to achieve weight loss both in the kitchen and through exercise.
